Dave's thoughts on writing:
I've been writing most of my adult life. During my military intelligence career most of my scribblings consisted of boring intelligence reports and summaries. Although their content may have been of interest to their end-users, they were basically a myriad of mundane facts. Writing fiction for publication is another matter — I write to entertain my readers, leaving education and inspiration to the writers of non-fiction. It has always been my goal to climb inside the minds of my characters and let them guide me through their stories. I enjoy reading and writing tales that move on an even keel throughout, in what I call linear mode--beginning, middle and end--leaving the reader satisfied with the conclusion, but wanting more.
“The Eye of the Viper” was my first published novel. Its sequel, “Terminated – With Extreme Pleasure,” was published July 2007.
First draft novels undergoing editing: "Mystic Wolf" A writers' retreat in Alaska turns bizarre. And, "Shadow Plots," noir mystery of evil and treachery.
